CNM & CTN London and Southeast Regional Day Conference
2 April 2011, Johnson House, 6 Marshalsea Road, London SE1 1HL
The ethical landscape in the NHS is changing fast, as new technologies and new social attitudes make it increasingly complex to know what is in the best interests of our patients and in keeping with God's values. From end of life to start of life, resource allocation and ethics in the staff room - how do we reflect God's life and values in our professional ethics?

Rediscovering your calling - a residential spiritual retreat for Christian nurses, midwives and health visitors
21-23 September 2011
Emmaus House, Bristol
Amidst the hubbub and stress of our working, church and family lives it can be hard to remember why we do what we do, and to be able to focus on the calling to our profession. This three day midweek retreat is a chance to focus on what it means to have a calling from God, to explore our own calling and sense of direction, and to take time out to listen to God. At the same time you will have the chance to share fellowship with Christian nurses, midwives and health visitors from across the UK in the beautiful setting of the Emmaus retreat house in Clifton, Bristol.
The programme will include biblical reflections and meditations on calling, a workshop on self-care (spiritual, physical, social and emotional), an optional social outing, optional 'pampering' and beauty treatments (both at a small extra charge – details available on request) and plenty of time for prayer and reflection and to enjoy the extensive gardens at Emmaus.
